The Sapporo Snow Festival (Hokkaido) is one of the biggest winter events in Japan. This event takes place in Sapporo in Japan. The Sapporo Snow Festival happens in February. About two million people come to Sapporo to see the ice sculptures in Odori Park. This festival began in 1950 when six high school students built six statues in Odori park. After that, the snow festival became famous.
